The car is an updated form of the original Viziv
concept seen at the Geneva motor show earlier this year, and is
designed to demonstrate both the brand's direction in both design and
says the new Viziv Evolution crossover is powered by a plug-in hybrid
system comprising a 1.6-litre direct-injection turbo engine, coupled to a
CVT, and three electric motors.
One electric motor would assist
the front axle, while a pair of electric motors would drive the back
axle. Energy would be stored in lithium-ion batteries.
Subaru states the concept will also feature a prototype “autopilot” system, which appears to allow semi-autonomous driving.
