The Dodge Dart will be the latest in the lineup to receive the Blacktop treatment, as the brand will unveil the 2014 Dodge Dart SXT Blacktop package next week at the 2014 Detroit auto show. Like the Challenger, Charger, Avenger, Journey, and Grand Caravan that also have the package available as an option, the Dart Blacktop features sportier exterior features like blacked out accents.
The Blacktop package starts with a 2014 Dart SXT
with Rallye Appearance Group, and adds unique gloss black 18-inch alloy
wheels, gloss black mirrors, a gloss black crosshair grille, and
darkened headlight bezels. Available exterior colors for Blacktop models
include Redline Red, Blue Streak, Header Orange, Granite Crystal
Metallic, Billet Silver, and Bright White. The model is powered by the same 184-hp, 174-lb-ft 2.4-liter MultiAir 2 Tigershark I-4 found in all SXT and Limited models.
Inside, the Dart Blacktop gets a Black/Ruby Red
cloth interior with Ruby Red accent stitching on the instrument cluster
hood, center console, and seat bolsters, along with Ruby Red accents on
the front seats and door panels.
A Black/Light Tungsten interior is also
available. Blacktop models can be specified with the Sun and Sound
Group, which adds a sunroof, 506-watt amp, Uconnect CD/MP3 audio system
with 8.4-inch touchscreen, rearview camera, navigation system, and
heated front seats.
The Blacktop package is available on 2014 Dodge Dart SXT models with the Rallye Appearance Group for $295.
