Unofficial Picture: Audi Allroad Shooting Brake Concept

Automakers just can't seem to keep a lid on anything these days, and Audi is the latest brand to have one of its upcoming Detroit auto show debuts leak out ahead of schedule. Called the Audi Allroad Shooting Brake concept, the vehicle rendered in these images is a small, crossover-like vehicle that looks like it might have a shot at production.

If the concept's name doesn't sound familiar, it's because Audi teased the car last December using the unimaginative code name "Audi Show Car." Back then, we were only given a cartoonish sketch along with a few sparse facts. We know that the concept is 13.78 feet long, or roughly 7 inches shorter than the Audi Q3 recently confirmed for the U.S., and rides on 19-inch wheels. That could mean this concept previews a two-door variant of the smaller Q1, which Audi announced is in development last month.
Then there's the E-tron badging. We still don't know anything about this concept's powertrain, but it's probably safe to guess it will be electrified in some way. Just going off what we see, the Allroad Shooting Brake concept looks like it would make a nice addition to the lineup, if produced. Will it be produced? We'll have to wait for more details from Detroit.
