The much-speculated third McLaren model has been confirmed, with the British sports car builder announcing the debut of the McLaren 650S at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The supercar will slot between the 12C and P1 hypercar when it launches, leaving room for a rumored sub-12C 911-fighter.
McLaren hasn't released any details on the car,
saying only that it will "offer the enthusiast driver the ultimate in
luxury, engagement, and excitement, as well as dramatic yet beautiful
styling." We've heard that the car will use a carbon fiber monocoque like the 12C and P1, and could be powered by a revised version of the twin-turbo 3.8-liter V-8 used in both cars.
