NY Show 2015 Highlights: 2016 Jaguar XF
Jaguar takes evolutionary step when developed the second generation of XF. The result is an executive car that is looked sportier than its predecessor. Unfortunately, Ian Callum didn’t do much when designed the latest XF. Because it looks like its smaller sister, XE. Its headlights are almost the same with XE, but it’s slimmer. The black honeycomb grille is bigger than the XE. But the sculpted lines on the hood are completely the same. At the rear, we can see the LED taillights that inspired by latest F-Type.
2016 Jaguar XF dimension is 7mm shorter and 3mm lower than the previous generation. But its wheelbase increase 51mm to improve legroom, knee room, and headroom for rear passenger. The Mercedes E-Class rival features Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) and Jaguar Configurable Dynamics system that enables driver to set its damper, steering, engine, and even the transmission. Under the hood, Jaguar offers V6 3.0 liter supercharged with two output choices, 340 hp and 380 hp. For European buyer, the sedan will also be offered with two diesel engines, 2.0 liter with two output choices 161 hp or 178 hp. Another choice for oil burner is 3.0 liter V6 twin turbo diesel produces 296 hp. All those engines are mated to 8-speed automatic transmission.
